Caviahue Ski Resort (Caviahue)

Located in the province of Neuquen, this ski center in Argentina is on the base of the Copahue Volcano.  At 1650 meters above sea level, you will also find a small town called Caviahue, a beautiful lake called Homonimo and a forest of Araucarias.  This is a place where the scenery is so beautiful, you won´t find it anywhere else.

This place has really good powder snow every time you are there.  Off-piste skiing in this center is great.  Just imagine skiing on the slopes of the Caviahue Volcano between the snowed covered Araucarias.  If you have never seen Araucarias before, this is a place where you will enjoy these beautiful trees.

Also in this ski center, you don´t have to just ski. There are many other activities you can join.  There is dog sledding, a great activity to do with your family specially if you are coming with the little ones, ride snowmobiles, and even ice skate! A lot do in this ski center, you will not get bored.

Cerro Chapelco Ski Resort (San Martin de Los Andes)

In the charming small city of San Martin de los Andes, you will find one of South America´s most beautiful ski centers.

With an altitude of 1.980 meters, it is considered to be Argentina´s favorite ski center.  Not only is it popular in Argentina, it has become so famous worldwide that people from all over the world come to ski in Argentina and visit this wonderful ski center.

This place has 22 slopes with different levels of difficulty.  If off-piste skiing is what you have in mind for your ski holidays in Argentina, this place is made for that. If you are a beginner skier, don´t worry, this place is great for learning too, you´ll probably be skiing next to the cutest 3,4 year olds, but you will learn! If you have been skiing for years now, you will really appreciate the quality of snow this place has.  You will also appreciate the amazing view of the Lacar Lake and the presence of the Lanin Volcano. Between the good snow and the mesmerizing view, this is a place you will come back to next time you want to ski in Argentina.

Cerro Bayo Ski Resort (Villa La Angostura)

Open since 1978, Cerro Bayo is surrounded by beautiful forests and a magical view of the Nahuel Huapi Lake.  This place has 200 hectares to ski on.  There are 22 slopes and 12 lifts. If you are thinking of some off-piste skiing, here you will find virgin forests like you have never seen before.  You will be able to ski from the top of the ski center all the way to the base.

This ski center is located 9km from the Village of La Angostura, in the province of Neuquen and just 6 Km from the famous ¨Ruta de los Lagos¨.  It is opened from June until October and also has a great restaurant, a ski school, and a daycare for your little ones.

Cerro Catedral Ski Resort (Bariloche)

Just 19 km from the wonderful city of Bariloche, you will find the amazing Cerro Catedral.

This is South America´s biggest ski center.  It has 2,000 hectares to ski on, 70 slopes for all different levels and excellent lifts.  Its altitude of 2,388 meters above sea level makes this place and the views, just breathtaking.

During the ski season, some of the world´s biggest ski competitions are held in the ski center.  But if you are here during the summer or spring, you can practice mountainbiking and trekking with the same view you had in the winter.  Since the ski center is located in an open zone, this allows you to appreciate the Andes Mountains to the fullest of its beauty.  You can also enjoy all this beauty while having a sweet local pastry with the most delicious hot chocolate you will ever have.

Since the city of Bariloche is famous for its amazing different chocolate shops, if you don´t have a hot chocolate in the mountain, make sure you have one in town

La Hoya Ski Resort (Esquel)

Being right next to the National Park ¨Los Alerces¨, this ski center has an amazing view of lakes, waterfalls and forests.  With its altitude of 1350 meters above sea level, this wonderful ski center is a place you will have to visit during your ski holidays in Argentina.  It is very close to the city of Esquel.  Its geographical location allows you to enjoy the snow from the first days of June. This also allows you to have fresh powder snow the whole season.  Its white slopes reach 2050 meters, and have 60 hectares to ski on with slopes for all levels.  It has 10 lifts that reach all 24 slopes. This is a great place to go off-piste and enjoy great snow and amazing scenery..

If the winter doesn´t bring enough snow to this ski center, don´t worry, they have a modern system to make artificial snow that maintains the quality of the slopes.
